What do you need to optimize it for?!?! Just use the default settings, unless you have a low range CPU. Ah, I see. You HAVE a low range CPU. Try to set shader settings to low and graphics to medium or low. But HL2 is only enjoyable on High graphics. The game is jizz! :P
