QTextBrowser might work. It supports hyperlinks at least. But you won't
get animated images and it has the same formatting issues as QTextEdit.

There is QScintilla as well, but I can't say I can recommend it as I
remember it having internalization issues. Maybe it has been fixed
since, that was a while ago.
