Hi What if found out is that Qt5 still uses GStreamer0.10 while Totem depends on Gstreamer1.0. So the real question is when will Qt start using GStreamer1.0.
Somewhere is a thread stating that the porting was started early 2012 but there is no roadmap and the whole thing seems to be stalled in review. For now I will use Mplayer in Slave mode which gets the job done. So why is it, that for some files I get a black screen while the very same file is working alright in totem video player? (which uses gstreamer too) I find this really strange. Maybe there is a good reason for that behaviour? Mplayer uses ffmpeg to at least one of the movies who don't work.
