I have not tried updating QtCreator in a while. I think the LLVM requirements
changed at some point, and I’m happy with my build at this point.

No, I am on the same exact Xcode. The problem happened when I updated QT
creator. What I did was downgrade QT creator to 4.13, and now it works. So the
problem is with 4.14.

Have you recently updated your version of Xcode? I had this issue after I
updated Xcode to 12.3. I ended up having to reconfigure and recompile my
project and debugging now seems to work. I also compile my own QtCreator so I’m
not really sure which version I am on but it is in the 4.14 range. And I did
have the same LLDB hang issue when I switched back to 3.13 (Official Version).
I rolled back versions of Xcode to 12.1/.2 and still had the hangs. That is
when I decided to just reconfigure and recompile from scratch our own project.
Maybe this helps, maybe not.

Yes - I have roughly the same setup and it started recently as well. I have to
restart Qt Creator when this happens.

The solution from StackOverflow (turn off "Show QObject names if available")
seems to help at least some of the time (but I haven't needed to debug that
much recently).

So it's not just you...
