Hmm. Ease of reading (FooStruct::static_type() as opposed to ::cppu::UnoType< FooStruct >::get()), which is a) highly subjective and b) not very convincing, probably :) Besides this ... no. Given that UnoType scales better, you're probably right in that we should prefer it ...
