Can anyone tell me what "application embarqu�e" is in English in the
following sentence???

Bus passif 5 slots destine aux *applications embarqu�es* et permettant
l'utilisation de cartes industrielles demi-taille aux bus ISA et PCI.

Are they "loaded applications"?
