I still don't understand what you meant by saying you could scan it if
it is not in the current collection, because the document is already
scanned.

As you say, the document is scanned in PDF, but my point is it contains
just the images of the pages, not their text, which usually is obtained
during the scanning process by OCR (optical character recognition).
Nevertheless I think the text would be very difficult to get in this
case, because of the low printing quality of the original).

Therefore, in case the book is found interesting to be republished in
any textual format, manual typing will be required.
