There are a couple ways to suspend notifications:

1)      InterMapper 3.5 and newer have a "snooze alarm" feature that allows you to
disable all alarms globally for up to 15 minutes. Whenever you acknowledge an
outage, you can check the "Don't send notifications for ___ minutes" box. This
suspends all notifications for a short period of time so you can get things
under control. You can read about it at:

2)      InterMapper 3.7 will have a new feature: notification dependencies. This will
allow InterMapper to suppress notifications for device outages that depend on
another item that has failed.
