Hmm, could be useful from time to time, but not in 99% of the web-interface use, I guess.

Also, for it to be useful, you would have to set IM to refress devices more often than the 30 sec. min-default. I know you can get it to do so, but how many use that on a large scale?

Besides, does your browser even get to display the page before it reloads? (I have often had trouble with that)

I removed the 1 and 5 second web page refresh intervals in 3.7, because
I assumed it was a bug that were creeping into the final build. I had
originally added the short refresh intervals for our internal use in
stress testing the web server.

I will re-introduce the 5 second interval in 3.7.1. I've filed this as
bug# 1645.

Even the 1 second intervals are useful.  For example, we created
a map full of hosts behind an HSRP gateway, and timed how long it
took them to fail over when the master router went down.  This was
normally about 10 seconds, which required using the finer granularity.
