Dear All,

We have got a couple of IM web-server issues here which I will try to explain clearly. Please bear with me here.

We have a number of web-based networking tools, of which IM is one, that we would like to gather together behind a web proxy server to make life easier for the customers. First issue is that when retrieving images which are in the ~GuestImages folder, the proxy sends the URL for the image to IM in the form /%7Eimages/xxxx.gif, rather than /~images/xxxx.gif. So although the map is served up OK, the logo that goes with it is broken. I am told by various web experts that encoding a character (in this case the tilde) as %xx is valid in a URL, and the server (in this case IM) should accept it.

Then there is the fact that pages served up by IM contain absolute paths, which seems to be making life difficult for those here building the proxy.

Has anyone tried/experienced/succeeded in this area or has comments?

Thanks,
