==========================
InterMapper (R)4.0.4 - 31 March 2003
[OFFICIAL RELEASE] InterMapper 4.0.4 was released. It is identical to the
4.0.4b2 version except for the version number change.
InterMapper (R)4.0.4b2 - 26 March 2003
[BUG FIX] When starting auto-discovery with a device that is already on the map,
we need to put adjacent networks into discovery.
[BUG FIX] Fixed problems in auto-discovery due to the use of different SNMP
community strings for router-discovery vs. host scanning.
[BUG FIX] If we are auto-discovering for routers, we need to automatically put
any discovered hosts into router-discovery mode (discovery race-condition bug).
[BUG FIX] If an UP or OK notification is blocked, we still need to cancel the
pending notification, if there is one. This should fix the problem where an
end-station goes down before an intermediate node; the intermediate node blocks
the UP notification; then the end-station sends its "delayed" DOWN notification
even though it is up.
[BUG FIX] Improved the "notification blocked" log message so it now indicates
which notification was blocked.
[BUG FIX] Fix an assertion fail in CLineStream::Getline
(ASSERT#CLineStream.cp#178#8.1)
[BUG FIX] Work around an assertion fail in checkSysctlLength().
[BUG FIX] Fixed bug in setting 'notifylist' attribute. UserID must be treated as
unsigned. Return a 404 error message if client attempts to use a bad user ID.
[BUG FIX] InterMapper does not allow the server to advertise its address as
0.0.0.0.
[BUG FIX] When stopping a stream server, set listenerCount to 0. This fixes an
assertion fail at ASSERT#PPC#4.0#!IsListening()#CStreamServer.cp #173#8.5.1.
[BUG FIX] Windows installer now sets working directory for InterMapper Console
shortcut in Start menu. (This will ensure that the help menu works correctly.)
[BUG FIX] Further thread-safety enhancements to XSocketSerial. (Paging code.)
[BUG FIX] New maps in Remote/Console now have unique names.
[BUG FIX] Implement time-since-boot on SPARC.
[BUG FIX] Now more forgiving of boundary issues when reading license data, as
long as the actual license data is present.
[BUG FIX] Fixed a byte-order problem in SMTP notifier code that could cause
crashes during notification in little-endian environments.
[LATERAL] Stop logging "Invalid received timestamp" messages on SPARC.
[LATERAL] Stop logging "Current DNS Server is ZERO" messages.
=============================
InterMapper Remote TM4.0.4 Build 33271, 27 Mar 2003
[OFFICIAL RELEASE] The version number was changed to 4.0.4.
[BUGFIX] Fixed a bug that caused an NPE when a reference point had no label.
InterMapper Remote TM4.0.4b2 Build 33261 - 26 Mar 2003
[BUG FIX] Fixed a bug (introduced in 4.0.2) that prevented the application from
working correctly on non-English systems.
[BUG FIX] Bug report files are now written to the user's home directory if it is
not possible to write it to the current working directory.
[BUG FIX] Auto-discover filters can now be double-clicked to change the enabled
status.
[BUG FIX] Fixed a bug in the window-staggering code.
[BUG FIX] The Windows menu should remain sorted even when maps are renamed.
[BUG FIX] Fixed a bug that caused the Notice dialog to show up (blank) even
after setting the serial number to a valid serial number.
[BUG FIX] Fixed a bug that could cause ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsExceptions in
renderer for the server list header.
[BUG FIX] Fixed a bug that could cause an NPE if the app quit at startup (e.g.
Disagree to the License).
[BUG FIX] Fixed a bug that caused some background maps to not animate vertices.
