For the unused switch ports issue, hide the network bubbles corresponding to each
switch port. This will get the switch out of warning status. Select the bubbles and
press Command-H in Classic (or Shift-Command-H in OS X) to hide them.

For the administratively down interfaces on Cisco routers, what IOS versions are you
running? On my maps, if a router interface is administratively down, it shows up with
a light blue "X" across the link, by default. This is true with IOS versions 11.0(8)
through 12.2(16.a). Do your backup links stay administratively down until turned on
manually, or are they dial-backup and thereby down until activated?

Thanks,
 Mark

Subject: Feature Request (or only help request)

Hello there,

Sorry about my English but I try to explain as best as I can...;-)
I have a little Problem with intermapper and Cisco routers.
I have a lot of Ciscos with isdn interfaces defined as backup interfaces.
On some Ciscos the "administratively down" b-channel interfaces are shown as
up in intermapper... others shown as down.
It depends on the cisco IOS release which is installed on the routers.

This little "BUG" (maybe a Cisco bug) will bring the router to a status with
a warning (interface down).
So any MapStatus Probe containing one of this devices will also be in a
warning status.
Isn't it possible to get rid of this problem?
Something like acknowledge an interface?

BTW I also would like to have an interface acknowledge for switch ports not
used to get the switch out of the warning status if not all ports are used.

Any help or even workaround is welcome.

Thanks in advance

J. Brndle
