Ok, I would like to suggest the following:
1: Add a new macro: ${Server Name} for the HTML pages.
Should display the 'name' specified in the Server Settings
BTW: I can't find this setting on Traditional IM - is this correct?
Reason: I would like to make a HTML template set that automatic show the server name in the Header.
2: Remote Web Proxy
When monitoring remote IM servers via Maps Probes, it would be VERY nice if the main IM could act as a proxy for the remote websites.
Clicking on a remote 'device' leading to a foreign IM server, leads to some very heavy access list maintenance, if they all have to have the clients and IP settings.
It would be more simple to let the main IM server act as a proxy, so remote locations only need access from the local LAN/localhost and the remote IM server
I imagine ti something like this:
1: On map, specify map probe with IM Remote IP, Map name and ID/PW
2: Surf via HTTP to the map with the Map Probe.
3: Click on the Map Probe would fetch the map specified via IM's build-in proxy.
This might require a setting for the probe:
() Use Map Probe login as HTTP AUTH
() Use WebUser login as HTTP AUTH
4: Navigation on remote map/server is now handled via the main IM server's proxy, making the remote map look like it's part of the main IM server.
All this will mean much smaller configuration, I hope...
Comments?
