Is their any word on this happening or not yet? It would cure a lot of problems for combining values.

Thanks

With version 4.0x, it's not possible to combine values from an SNMP probe in an arbitrary, arithmetic expression. The values can only be tested in isolation. Supporting calculations is something that we are looking to add in the 4.1 timeframe.

I'm in need of a way to consolidate multiple CPU utilization figures from a
single box so that alarms can be processed if the overall load on that
system exceeds a specified threshold. Is there a way to do that through a
custom SNMP probe, essentially saying - '(CPU #1 utilization + CPU #2
utilization + CPU #3 utilization + CPU #4 utilization) / 4' when
establishing alarm levels? The scrounging through manuals and talk
archives I've done seems to suggest that OIDs can only be evaluated
individually.

I'm currently using 4.0.4 on a W2K platform.
