I am wondering why when a device loses snmp connectivity it isn't
reported down? We are monitoring a server with certain services running
on it that we check for. When the server has a problem it loses snmp
connectivity and IM can't reach it. I would think it should be shown
down and not just in alarm. Am I missing something? I built a custom
probe for it and see IM keeps the counters the same even after it can't
reach the server any more. That is why it goes into alarm but I want it
to go down if this happens.
Thanks
Bennie
