I checked through some mail exchanges from last year on the list related to formatting and extra information via the HR probe. Is this done/imminent/future release? I have to confess to not paying much attention to this probe until the last few days.
I have made some minor format changes over the course of the releases to make the information more useful, especially for a chart. I still have on my to-do list to look into whether I can augment the Host Resources data with some of the UCD-MIB information for those using net-snmp in order to get more helpful processor load information.
This is what a pop-up contains:
Device Information Name: ws2.nl DNS Name: fe0-mon.ws2.nl.geant.net. SysName: ws2.nl Address: 62.40.99.139 Status: UP Protocol: SNMP - Host Resources (port 161) Up Time: 328 days, 3 hours, 21 minutes Location: System administrators office Contact: System administrator Availability: 100 % (of 3 hours, 0 minutes, 42 seconds) Packet Loss: 3.28 % (of 122 total attempts) [Reset] Recent Loss: 1 pkts at 02 Mar, 16:08:29 Round-trip time: 32 msec Host Resources General Information System Uptime: 0 days, 0 hrs, 0 mins, 0 secs System Date: Unavailable Number of User Sessions: 0 Number of Processes Loaded/Running: 0 Installed Memory: 0 KB Host Resources Storage Table Information Index Used (KB) Size (KB) % Full Fail Descr. Host Resources Processor Table Information Index Load Last updated 02 Mar, 16:39:08; interval: 10 minutes, 0 seconds
This looks like the SNMP agent is running, but is not sending back Host Resources MIB information. If it is net-snmp, for instance, it probably needs to be recompiled and reinstalled with instructions to include the Host Resources MIB.
