Some time ago I inquired about a feature like this, but haven't noticed if it was ever made available.
I run a number of strip charts, and the data accumulates over time. A restart of InterMapper takes a significant amount of time because of the large store of data. When I purge the strip chart data, the map opens much, much faster. However, my recent chart activity is gone, and it's important to retain at least a recent history.
