The discussion of using Host Resources to monitor servers is useful. There will soon be another way. We've been working a "NT Services" probe for the InterMapper 4.3 release. You'll be able to scroll through a list of NT services running on a remote computer and check the ones you care about. If any go down, you'll be notified, etc. We expect to have a test version in January. Watch the InterMapper-Announce list for news. Thanks!
