Bennie,

I'm not real clear on the problem you're having. At a guess, you place
a radio on the map, and InterMapper draws only one interface out of the
radio. Sometimes it's the wired port, sometimes it's the wireless. Is
that right?

A common "gotcha" is that IM will often automatically connect a device
to a hidden network on the map. When it does this, it doesn't draw the
link on the screen.

To see if this is happening, select a device that is missing a link and
choose Show Adjacent from the Edit menu. This will unhide all objects
that the device is connected to.

You might also try using a SNMP MIB browser utility and see if the
device is actually reporting both of its interfaces correctly and
consistently.

HTH,

Doug

Ok. I have found a problem with my probe. Not sure how to fix it. Can
you set an ifIndex with a probe? Sometimes it shows up as index = 1
which is the radio port. Sometimes 2 which is the wired ethernet port.

Is it possible to have a probe that looks at both those and gets the
traffic info? I need to make sure that the radio connects properly to
the map. It actually has 2 paths. The wired port would go to a switch
or something along those lines. So that connection should never show
the ifIndex = 1. Then the other side is the radio side that should
connect to an AU which is a router radio. So I am open for ideas as I
am also trying to think of a way to fix this.

Thanks
Bennie
