I have a requirement to start generating reports for mgmt on outages.
The current outages file in the format of:
Sat, Aug 2, 2003 11:20 AM 167.100.1.150 1 minute, 21 seconds Sat,
Aug 2, 2003 11:18 AM
Sun, Aug 17, 2003 5:15 PM 167.100.1.150 21 seconds Sun, Aug 17,
2003 5:15 PM
presents issues for sorting and reporting. The day of the week in front
of month, and the outage time not being in a uniform unit are the main
issues.
Has anyone have any experience reporting from the outages file?
How are you running reports against the file?
What is the best way to deal with formatting the file to make sorts and
outages easier to deal with?
