OK two more wish list
item...
1) sub map that does not generate a outage
for itself.
We may not need this, if you can provide a
highly visible status indicator on the InterMapper Remote map list.
We originally tried to use a map, that had
all of our 87 maps appear on the main menu map. We called it Acme Root Map
so that it always showed up first on the map list.
The problem we ran into, is that when a
device went down, we not only got an outage for the device, but we also
generated an outage from the map status probe. So we had double the
outages when we looked at the error and outage web pages, not to mention double
the notifications. We should be able to disable the notifications for the
sub maps. But we will still get multiple down items showing up in the
error and outage lists.
Since we are already seeing the outage from
the device, you should be able to suppress outages for the sub map. We
only want it to change colors.
2) We error and outage list that
includes ack messages.
We would like to be able to see a quick
list of errors or outages that also contains the text for any devices that have
been acknowledged.
