Don't know if this is already in there somehow, but it would be good if objects could move around the map on their own... I'm thinking three ways of doing this:
1> GPS: Mikrotik and some other high-end equipment can have a NEMA GPS attached to it and coordinates can be sent via SNMP. In WISPerMapper, this could be useful in something like a MAN or marine environment. 2> Location Tracking: by integrating into something like Ekahau or similar, you would be able to pin-point locations indoors. 3> AP association: a 'poor man's location tracking. Basically the client device moves closest to the AP it is associated with (taken from the AP's client table). Going further, you could combine either of the first 2 with the third. Ie. The device icon itself moves on the map, while the connecting line shows which AP it is associated with. ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
