This also ties back to my request in August for more sensible
saving...seconded by Jakob
Why am I prompted to save a map everytime I close it - even if no
changes were made? And why can't I save all the maps from the
command-line when shutting down intermapperd? If a machine is restarted
any unsaved data is lost.
It seems like the concept of saving is a bit antiquated with the whole
client-server setup. I'd much prefer that everything was always saved.
Ie. if I change it, it's changed - other than the usual Undo abilities
while the map is still open for editing.

Long ago and far away ... it was possible, in the traditional
version at least, to save all open files with one Command-S-Option
keyboard stroke. With three dozen maps open, it's a chore to save
all the maps when they all get asterisks for some unknown reason.
Also, when it's necessary to shut down the InterMapper server (to do
Apple's frequent upgrades), the old Command-S-Option keyboard
shortcut was just the trick. I can't figure out how to do this in
Console. Have I missed something obvious?

Yup. That's an oversight. You really should be able to select maps
in the Map List and save them. Then you could just select all and
Save. Unfortunately, it's too late to get this into 4.4.3. Please
file an enhancement request (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) and
hopefully we can address this in the next major version.
