I would also like to see a global search feature. In my case it would
be most useful as part of InterMapper Remote / Console.
Some of my Traditional users still can't get used to the idea that the
Find will work only on the currently focused map. It would be great if
the search would consider all currently monitored probes and examine,
for example, basic info suggested by Dave.
A simple implementation would show a 'results' window with all
matches, and each entry would be clickable so that it focuses the
container map and pops that particular probe [it would also have to
open the map window if necessary].
