Is anyone successfully monitoring Windows WMI counters with
InterMapper? What I'd like to be able to do is chart typical windows
perfmon counters and set adjustable thresholds for alarms.
I'm particularly interested in monitoring ASP Request Queues, Network
Queues and Disk Queues on Windows 2000 server. The ASP Request Queue
is a pretty good indicator, as when it starts to rise the web server
is usually on its knees.
There are quite a few examples floating around for VB scripts that
will retrieve WMI data. I've seen Microsoft examples that integrate
with MRTG. Unfortunately, I don't have the skills to write my own
command line probe and integrate it with InterMapper.
Any ideas?
James
