I have not been using the new beta version so I am hoping someone
that is can answer my question. I am wondering if the new version
allows for creating links on maps. What I want it to be able to
put a hyperlink on a map to a link from the Intermapper Map to a
web interface on a switch of too another webpage. This would be
very helpful so that I can give my technicians links to other
things that they may need.
Yes. You can assign a "double-click action" to any item on a map. One
type of double-click action can be a URL to a web page.
The default double-click action for a device or network is to open
the new Get Info window. Probes can override the default double-click
action; the default double-click action for a map status probe opens
the targetted map. To create arbitrary hyperlinks on your maps, add a
network or text item, then change its double-click action to be a URL.
Let me know if this answers your question.
