William.... What I do is setup a different probe for each Port that I want to monitor and then link them to a main Ping/SNMP for a device that way if the whole box goes down I only get one notification and not 5. This also helps me to know which Port/service died on a device to help in fixing it.

Forgive me if I'm dense or missing something obvious in the docs, but what do folks do if they want to probe multiple services on a given machine? Do you have to have a separate box for each probe? For instance, if I have a mail server, I might want to monitor network traffic stats, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, possibly the SSL versions of these services, etc. Is there a way to combine these probes within a single target device? w ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ****This Message was sent through the Chatham County Schools E-Mail Server**** All e-mail correspondence to and from this address is subject to the North Carolina Public Records Law, which may result in monitoring and disclosure to third parties, including law enforcement. ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
