I think it would be nice to get drive status also. So that if a
drive goes down, in addition to the email IM could also scream a
little bit.

Actually, I never did look at those tools, but someone may be able
to build a Command Line probe using them.
I built on the existing XServe and OS X Server probes. All I
really need are access to an XServe RAID (thanks, Alessandro!), and
time to work on it.
Any feedback on what to include in the probe would be appreciated.
Please bear in mind that only so much information will fit in a
Status Window. Currently, the 'skeletal probe' that Alessandro
mentioned will only probe a single controller due to the limited
space in a Status Window. Is there a better way to break this
information up into separate probes?
