I second this one.

We have the same problems and I'm constantly cleaning up maps.

Subject: [IM-Talk] Automatically Hiding New Interfaces

Is it possible to automatically hiding new interfaces on SNMP polled
devices?

We have a very simple map with a series of network elements polled by SNMP.
They have hundreds of interfaces, but we're only interested in the key
interfaces. All of them are hidden, but it seems when we add a new ifIndex,
it
automatically appears. So we're always looking at the map and hiding the
new
interfaces.

Anyone have any experience with that?
