My intermapper log is getting the following message every second:
09/20 16:21:56 ERR! Failed to connect to InterMapper Authentication
Server at 127.0.0.1
How do I make it stop? I am not using the external authentication, so I
can't figure out why it is trying to connect to one in the first place.
The option under Edit -> Server Settings -> Server Configuration ->
Users for "Use IM Auth server." is not checked. In addition none of my
users have "Use External Authentication" checked. Any help would be
appreciated.
Have you ever checked "User IM Auth Server" before? Do you ever
access the telnet server? We do know of one problem that can happen
when logging on to the telnet server which will be fixed in the next
version.
We've seen what you're describing happen once here, but so far
haven't reproduced it. It's on my list to look into--looks like I had
better do that sooner rather than later.
In the meantime, the two things I can recommend are:
1) Checking the "Use IM Auth Server" box, waiting a minute, and
unchecking it again.
2) Restarting the InterMapper server.
Without knowing why it happened, I can't say for sure whether the
problem will happen again after doing either of these things.
