We had an instance where the time was properly configured on a Linux device. Due to drive problem, time was off by approx. 8 hours.
And how do you determine if ntp is properly configured? If it keeps the correct time, it's properly configured. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ted Fines" [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 10/09/2007 12:25 PM EST To: "InterMapper Discussion" <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [IM-Talk] Monitoring Time Hi, You could start ntpd with the -g option, which will synch the time regardless of the size of the time difference when ntpd is started. Then, if ntpd is configured correctly, it will stay in synch.
