One of my Intermapper servers is monitoring several hundred servers, and when viewing them in the DEVICE LIST, I usually select only those that are DOWN, CRITICAL, and in ALARM states. (I exclude those that are green and in a warning state, there's just too many).
Still, I have a lot of alarms to go through, and I would like to be able to sort that DEVICE LIST by CONDITION. I can click on the CONDITION column heading, thinking it would sort by that, but it actually just ends up sorting by date. I can sort by alarm type (DOWN, CRITICAL, ALARM, etc..) but the CPU's alarms are still mixed with the memory ones, and packet loss, etc. It would be useful for me to see those devices that are having high CPU clumped together, those that have hard drive capacity alarms together, etc. if I can actually get the CONDITION column to sort that would be great. I understand that one HD alarm might have a "C" in it, another a "D", and have other variables, but there has to be a way around it.. Is there another way to accomplish this? Is anyone else interested in this, possible feature request? Just want to be able to manage all of the alarms across a big server a little easier.. ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
