Hi,

We are monitoring some interfaces now using the "High Traffic" probes.
For now we are just sending email, but with the intent to send out pages
( we are talking major saturation such as above 90% before we would
page).

Well the problem we are seeing now, just using the email method to
notify, is that when some network problems occur, we end up getting
many emails since the traffic is going up, back down and up again each
time triggering the notifier.

Is there a way to say wait "x" minutes (or other time period), before
acting on that notification again. This way it would allow staff to
respond to and look at the problem, without having the pager fill up, or
also filling their email inbox.

If this feature does not already exist could it be added to the notifier
options, similar to way there is the "Delay" and "Repeat" options, maybe
you can add a "Suppress" option that is a time value, and once the
notifier is tripped, if it was tripped again, before the Suppress timer
runs down, it would simply be Suppressed.

Thanks,
