Not being a "veteran" of Crystal Reports...can anyone explain to me what
the proper settings are in Crystal Reports to get it to connect to the
Intermapper database?
You'll need to start by creating a System DSN in the Data Sources
(ODBC) control panel on your system using the postgresql ODBC driver.
The settings for that are:
Data source: whatever name you wish to give it
Database: intermapper
Server: The DNS name or IP address of the machine where you've
installed InterMapper DataCenter
User Name, Password: The username and password you set up for
"Internal Database Users" when installing IMDC. (If you didn't do so,
you can go back and do it by logging into IMDC and choosing "Change
Settings" in IMDC section of the services page. If the Database
Settings page doesn't come up, click on the Database Settings tile on
the left hand side of the page.)
SSL Mode: I usually use prefer
Port: 8183
Once you've set that up and successfully tested the connection, you
can use the Data source name you set up to refer to the database in
Crystal Reports.
