Maybe just make it so that the New Chart can't be closed until it is
named. I know the issue well of making multiple charts that are all
named "Untitled", and have mostly solved it for myself.
The other users we have don't understand that when they click on the
Ut number, for instance, that it isn't showing them a chart, but
making one. So as lead dog, I have to have a policy of deleting any
un-named charts as they are found. Being forced to name a new chart
would probably solve this problem also, as my coworkers would likely
hit CANCEL when forced to make a decision.
thanks for bringing this up, Matthew

Hello,
Confession: I find that whenever I create a new chart, I often forget
to name it right away. Sometimes I will have a list of 5 "Untitled
Chart
X" charts in my maps. It's embarrassing, yes, but I'll expose my shame
in the hopes of getting a new feature in. I would like to see newly
created charts (at least single item ones) be named more intuitively,
perhaps just copying the first data legend: "% Errors for
DEVICENAME -
PORTNUMBER" it would at least help when creating multiple charts to go
back later and find them without having to open all of them. Hope that
makes sense and sounds reasonable. I could see newly created charts
with
multiple data sets being named this way causing some confusion - maybe
the additional data set names / default legends can be appended up to
the character limit, or maybe once another data set is added it
reverts
to something like "Untitled Mutli-dataset Chart X"
Any other ideas on this?
