AHHHHHH long time ...Manny . Sorry folks long time I did not talk to this guy..
We use cacti to some extent and vitalnet for long term trending , knowledge transfer is an issue...I hate the work involved and oh man how slow it is ..drags through the floor.. Imapper I get the graphs I need quick right click and off I go charting ... Though I agree long term trending for switch ports I don't like to use imapper...but since I already have imapper would like to have just one tool. And not so many systems ...I am looking to consolidate.. They (imapper) offered the database and I want to see what it can do....intermapper reliability is great I want to use it for everything.. Even downloading router and switch config.... So I want to see if there is anyone out there doing this...... -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Manuel Gonzalez Sent: Friday, February 20, 2009 12:17 PM To: InterMapper Discussion Subject: Re: [IM-Talk] Intermapper database Quezada, Pedro wrote: > > > Is there anyone using the intermapper database for statistics > collection... > How are you folks doing it.....what GUI > ____________________________________________________________________ Pedro, How is it going dude? :-) Of course you know I love Cricket for trending... and have a huge implementation of it. I recently got introduced to Cacti and it is proving a lot easier to manage than Cricket... prettier too... yet retaining the same look and feel to the data presentation which is the lovely RRD backend. While I love InterMapper for a live view of the environment, I never really liked its trending functionality. -- Manny -------------------- This electronic message is intended to be for the use only of the named recipient, and may contain information that is confidential or privileged.
