Thanks for reporting this. What's happening is that your map status device has an address of 127.0.0.1 and we use the device's address so that you can follow map status probes across to different servers; Google Earth apparently doesn't follow relative URLs (i.e., no hostname), which is what we use to craft such links in the web interface.
