Hello Jakob, My name is Chris Demers, and I am a marketing person hired by Dartware, end of 2008. It's taken a long time to get a new "look" and some organization but finally we are up and running. This is just the start of what we hope is a better way of presenting ourselves to the world and better way to work with our customers. Coming very soon is an entire site dedicated to InterMapper Community, with groups,technical discussions, and just about anything the InterMapper community has a need for.
We will have the PDF for 5.1 up very soon as well as the HTML version (it is not sadly gone but patiently waiting in the queue to be added - very soon) I can tell that you are a seasoned veteran of InterMapper and as such I welcome any and all feedback about the site - ways it can serve you better, etc. Also, I'd like to ask anyone on this forum, if they are so inclined, to help us with our credibility by making a short video, audio, or written statement about what you do, what your NOC consists of and possibly even how you use InterMapper. Even a photo would be delightful to display and begin to put faces (or NOCs) to the name. Some of the responses we've received have been quite innovative and compelling. I must say, as someone entirely new to network monitoring, some of the conference calls I've been on with executives from brand name companies who use InterMapper I have rarely heard such nice things said about a product in what was supposed to be a gripe session. I noticed a while back Jakob, that you had developed an app for the iphone and InterMapper. I went to the link you provided (quite a while back) How impressive. Any chance of sharing that experience on the web site? If anyone is interested in sharing on our web site - any stories, tips, techniques, anything at all, we welcome it, and will do what we can to make it easy, and quick. I am particularly interested in any stories or accounts of ways InterMapper came to the rescue in some way, or its reliability or even some of the smart aspects to the product that are unique to InterMapper.
