Hi all. I want to understand how you collect your flows information. I¹m suspecting I have a problem with collecting netflow packets from exporters that are on the other side of a WAN link from my IMFlows collector. I have a reason to believe that during congestion on those links, not all netflow makes it to my collector thus making it extremely hard to analyze. What do you do to avoid this kind of problem if anything?
Also, I¹d imagine Dartware might want to put me on a feature request for distributed netflow collectors. I¹d like to have netflow collectors at each site (side of the WAN link). Maybe a slimmed down linux box or something that would be able to collect netflow and then reliably deliver it to the main server for storage.
