I took the quoted section below (from 5.1.3 release notes) to mean that we
could actually somehow add some text to a member probe that would allow us
to distinguish between the multiple copies of a probe that have been added
to a group.
We have a CSU/DSU probe that we use to extract performance stats for a DS1
port. Since our DACS can have multiple such ports we need to add a member
probe for each such port we want to gather statistics on.
Unfortunately without the ability to label each member probe we have no way
to distinguish between one probe/port and another within a group, short of
opening the member probe in the status window.
The question I have is do we need to run the 5.1.3 remote InterMapper to be
able to use this feature? Or have I completely misinterpreted the release
notes?
Thanks,
Walter

Hi Walter,
You would need to upgrade both the client and the server to 5.1.4 to be
able to edit the labels for the member probes. If you only upgrade the
server, this feature would not be available to the RemoteAccess users.
Anyone using InterMapper RemoteAccess will also need to upgrade to 5.1.4.
The reason I say 5.1.4 is that 5.1.3 introduced a bug that was fixed
immediately in 5.1.4. Therefore, it is 5.1.4 server and client that you
will need to install in order to edit the member probe labels.
You can download 5.1.4 from this link:
