Another thing is sometimes opening a map or a settings window, or
interfaces window takes forever. Sometimes after a settings or set
probe window opens, the settings are not there, and I just wait for
about a minute and they show up. And lately opening maps and
settings started to crash intermapper server all together
This sounds like network latency. The windows you mention contain a
lot of information that must be retrieved from the server. If the
problem isn't network related, it may simply be that the server is
extremely busy and is slow to respond to the client.
How much CPU is the InterMapper server using?
Have you reported the crashes yet?
