A feature request, 1. We are using Intermapper to create maps of our campus buildings, mostly on an as-needed basis for troubleshooting. However, we would like to consider using Intermapper both as a monitoring and as a documentation tool. Currently we use Visio to create network maps of sites as well. It would be helpful if Intermapper could export it's maps in Visio format (perhaps the newer Visio XML format?). That would allow for export and use across departments when Visio's are needed to facilitate project discussion and planning.
2. Also of use would be auto-discovery of an IP range or a single subnet (i.e. 0 hops), such that discovering a subnet doesn't hit a router and then discover the rest of the entire network. A specific range either specified as "a.a.a.a - b.b.b.b" or "a.a.a.a/24" notation that was strictly enforced, would be helpful. Currently, scanning a subnet eventually hits our router and then quickly goes beyond discovering our very large network. This occurs even in the instance that I specify only "1 hop" for auto-discovery. 3. Lastly a request for an SNMP probe(s) to display LLDP/CDP neighbors and connected ports of a device for easier diagram creation OR auto-discovery that utilizes LLDP/CDP to create the digram and appropriate port connections.
