I have several http probes which verify strings on the returned page. I simply type in the exact text of what I want to verify. I don't add any additional syntax, just *exactly* what I'm expecting.
Examples of some I have: Main Menu HelpDesk Apache Directory Listing Denied Username: Good Luck, Randy Millsop Network Administrator San Joaquin Delta College ----- Original Message ----- From: "IM-Talk-Forum" <[email protected]> To: [email protected], [email protected] Sent: Friday, November 13, 2009 3:22:13 PM GMT -08:00 US/Canada Pacific Subject: [IM-Talk] regex in "string to verify" for http probe Hi I'm trying to match a simple line on a html from a http probe. Is there a way I can use regular expressions in the "string to verify" field of the http probe? It seems I can only get the probe to find the string "<html". The issue is I have a tomcat service running on this host, so if the tomcat service dies, apache still loads a page that starts with "<html" so the I never see an alert. Can I do this with the http probe? Or is this something that need to be customized. thanks in advance for any help. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.dartware.com/viewtopic.php?p=1944#1944 ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [email protected] ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [email protected]
