Hi Jeff,
I think perhaps you are not interpreting this announcement as it was
intended to be understood. The first sentence applies *only* to Windows
systems, as we now have WMI probes, but probe creation and the HTTP API,
as well as all the other features listed on the "What's New" page, apply
to all supported platforms (Mac OS X, UNIX\Linux, Windows).
