If you're running InterMapper on a Mac you can probably automate this
with AppleScript (A script that launches IM, waits a few seconds &
then tells IM to start the slideshow).

still work, with the only downside being that it's AppleScript (so
it only works on a Mac and you'll get carpal tunnel coding it).
