It sounds as if the preferences either aren't being saved at shutdown,
or aren't being loaded at startup. Please do the following test:
1) Start the InterMapper Client.
2) Open a map.
3) Close the map.
4) Help->Report a Bug... and send a bug report that maps and charts
are not being auto-opened at startup.
5) Quit the InterMapper Client.
6) Start the InterMapper Client.
7) Help->Report a Bug... and send a bug report detailing what windows
were opened at startup, and which were expected to open.
