I would like to use the probe to control the timeout instead of relying on or
setting up either the global timeout or device timeout.
There is currently no way to override the device timeout from within a
SNMP probe. (It is possible for command-line probes, however).
You are right that it would logical to include this functionality in the
<snmp-device-properties> section. I will add this as an enhancement request.
