I am not sure what Jakob means by "huge degradation", but I am not sure how many of the new icon's could be used. For example, I can see where I could use the cash register or currency icon's from the "Business Finance Data", but I don't see a use for icons such as the auction hammer, or people icons. I do like options for devices I can query through SNMP, but too many options does seem like clutter.
However, maybe there is a useful purpose for these "other" icons that is not immediately apparent to me. All of my maps have icons over floor plans or geographic maps. Some of these icon's will spruce up my Dashboards.
