Hi, When using a background image I often want it subdued, so it is still visible but the objects I put on it are clearly more visible and don't get 'lost' on the background. The best way I've found to 'subdue' an image (don't know what the correct term is) is to use GIMP (free, open source), import the image into GIMP, then add a 'layer' of white, adjust the opacity of the white so I get the image subdued like I want, then export the image back out as a new file, then import it into Intermapper. Sounds like a lot but it isn't. I've tried just adjusting an image's brightness, contrast, etc. but depending on the image that often doesn't work out well & using the GIMP method always works.
Hope this helps, Ted On Wed, Jan 4, 2012 at 2:45 PM, AnthonyJ <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi all, > > I just started working for a company as a network admin. I have to manage > Intermapper.
