Hi there,

just following the wish-list discussion and also wanted to put my request here.

I asked a lot of times for a new feature but it isn't implemented yet.
So I wanted to know if I'm the only one who needs this:

I like to see a more granularly way to acknowledge interfaces.
It should be possible to do this the same way as a device

e.g. in the interface list of a device it should be a possibility to
acknowledge an interface the following ways

        1. ignore outages at all / always ack (like ignore outages ack for
devices itself)
        2. "normal" ack (the one already working)
        3. timed ack

Here is why I like to see this:

I monitor a lot of cisco switches and their interfaces.
Every time a switchport goes down because a device (sensible clients) on such a
port goes down (rebooting or shut down during night or holiday) the
switch goes in a warning state.

If I can use a "Ignore outages" flag on interface level everything would be
much better.
At now I have to hide all these interfaces to get a "green" state for the
switch.

The timed ack would be nice for maintenance of servers connected to a switch.
At now you always have to check all the maps not in "green" status.

Greetings from sunny but cold Germany
